Vice President for External Relations and Resource Development
Prof. Lihi Zelnik-Manor
The Vice President for External Relations and Resource Development oversees operations of the Technion’s Division of Public Relations and Resource Development (PARD), which supports the Technion’s goal of being a leading academic institution and central hub of excellence in research, education, and dissemination of knowledge. The Division has three main thrusts of activity:
- Resource Development, which correlates the needs of the campus with Technion Societies around the world. Technion needs are identified by direct interaction of the Division with Technion academic departments, and then approved and prioritized by the Technion management. Interaction with Technion supporters is coordinated by the Technion Societies, in coordination with Donor Relations at PARD, which stewards projects funded by supporting agencies and individuals.
- Marketing and Communications (MarCom) is responsible for institutional publications and communications, media relations, branding, and marketing for student and employee enrollment.
- Ceremonies and Visits, which together with the relevant academic departments plans and executes Technion ceremonies, and hosts visitors to the campus at the Polak Visitor Center.
In addition, the Vice President for External Relations and Resource Development coordinates collaborative actions between the Technion and other universities around the world. The collaborations can be pedagogical in nature and will then be managed by the Senior Executive VP, or research oriented and will then be managed by the Executive VP for Research.
