The Office of Diversity and Inclusion operates on two levels:
Diversity – Activities aimed at better realizing the potential of human capital in Israeli society and promoting appropriate representation of women and minority groups in the population among students, academic staff, and administrative staff at the Technion, out of a commitment to maintaining academic excellence.
Inclusion – Activities aimed at making human diversity an integral part of the Technion’s identity, based on the perception of the campus as a space for creating a shared Israeli society, while enabling each group to preserve its unique identity and enhancing the sense of belonging among students from diverse populations.
For many years, the Technion has maintained a broad support system of assistance and support for students from diverse populations, operating out of a deep commitment to academic excellence and to the Technion’s central role in advancing Israel’s economy and society. The Office of Diversity and Inclusion works to implement this approach across all Technion activities, building on the institution’s existing strengths, developing additional supportive infrastructures, sharing and developing knowledge, and expanding and formalizing diversity-related activities across different units.
