Board of Governors
The Board of Governors is the supreme authority of the Technion. It numbers close to 360 high-profile Technion supporters from Israel and abroad, including public figures with outstanding achievements in the fields of science, technology, economy, industry, culture and society.
In addition, among the Technion Board members are prominent philanthropists, industrialists, academics and Jewish community leaders. As per the Technion Constitution and Bylaws, the Board features a majority-Israeli membership, including Technion office holders and representatives from academic faculty, professional unions, alumni, industry and the student community.
The Board of Governors usually convenes once a year in June. This year the annual meeting of the Technion Board of Governors stands as a beacon of resilience and unwavering support for the Technion community and the people of Israel. As we continue to operate under the shadow of war, adjustments have been made to ensure the safety and appropriate tone of the 2024 gathering.
We recognize the gravity of the moment, and, therefore, only the essential meetings of the Board of Governors will also take place, underscoring our steadfast commitment to progress and unity in the face of adversity.
Additionally, the most significant acknowledgements will be made during ceremonies for prizes and awards. Your decision to register sends a powerful message to the Technion community and the people of Israel that our support knows no bounds, that we stand together in solidarity, now and always.
