Technion President Prof. Uri Sivan emphasized the importance of the role: “Diversity in all its forms is essential to better science and research, a better academic environment, and a better, more respectful and equitable society. I wish Prof. Fishman every success in her new role. I also extend my heartfelt thanks to Prof. Adi Salzberg of the Ruth and Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, who was the first to serve as Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion, for four and a half years of work advancing equality, diversity, and inclusion at the Technion during a complex and challenging period for both the Technion and the State of Israel.”
