The Technion Presents: Everything that you need to know about our Campus Research Infrastructure in One Place
Many studies today rely on cross-disciplinary collaboration, access to advanced infrastructure, and the ability to identify relevant knowledge, technologies, and experts quickly. In response to this need, we have launched the Technion Research Infrastructure website—a comprehensive, up-to-date resource for the Technion research community. The website consolidates accurate and relevant information in one place and presents it in a clear, well-structured format.
What can you find on the website?
The site offers a systematic mapping of the Technion’s research infrastructure assets, including:
- Research infrastructure
- Research centers and research frontiers
- Innovative technologies and unique capabilities
- An expert database spanning a wide range of disciplines
Each infrastructure asset is accompanied by a clear “ID card” detailing its field of activity, core capabilities, contact information, and precise physical location on campus, also displayed through an interactive GIS interface. This makes it possible to understand not only what exists, but also where it is located and how it can be used.
Much more than a database
Beyond serving as a comprehensive catalog, the website was designed as a practical working tool tailored to researchers’ needs. It enables users to pose questions, present research challenges, or request brainstorming support—and receive responses from a relevant pool of Technion experts.
The “Contact Us” page features professional contacts whose role is to provide guidance, connect researchers, and direct inquiries to the appropriate parties. In this way, the website functions as a platform that fosters dialogue, initiative, and new collaborations.
Part of a broader research ecosystem
The Technion Research Infrastructure website is also represented on the national infrastructure portal (IRCF) and constitutes a significant component of this platform, which aggregates information on research infrastructures across all public institutions in Israel.
The shared vision is to accelerate collaboration, optimize the use of existing resources, and create an open, smart, and collaborative research environment that serves both academia and industry. The website enables every Technion researcher to gain a comprehensive overview, identify new opportunities, and work more efficiently.
You’re invited to explore, search, ask, and connect
The Technion Research Infrastructure website was built for you—the Technion research community. Whether you are looking for infrastructure, a research partner, complementary technology, or inspiration for collaboration, this is the place to start.
