The Technion Leaps into the Global Top Ten for Alumni Entrepreneurship
The annual ranking by PitchBook, which measures entrepreneurial success among university alumni worldwide, places the Technion in 10th place globally for the number of bachelor’s degree graduates who founded companies
The Technion has been ranked among the world’s top ten universities for entrepreneurial success among undergraduate alumni. According to PitchBook’s report, based on data from the past decade, Technion graduates (across all degree levels) have founded over 1,000 companies, led by approximately 1,300 entrepreneurs, which have raised more than $43 billion. The success is particularly notable among bachelor’s degree graduates, who founded about 670 companies, raising over $26 billion collectively.
In the category of mid-sized institutions (15,001–29,999 students), the Technion ranks #1 in the Middle East and Asia (across all degrees) and #5 worldwide among bachelor’s degree alumni.
Technion graduates with a bachelor’s degree have a high likelihood of founding companies – the highest in Israel, and one of the highest in the Middle East, Asia, and globally, as measured by the ratio of alumni entrepreneurs to alumni cohort size.

The list for graduates with a bachelor’s degree is led by American universities: Berkeley (#1), Stanford (#2), and Harvard (#3). The Technion and Tel Aviv University are the only non-American institutions in the global top ten.
