As we enter the second week of Operation Rising Lion, we continue to face a complex reality. We are doing our best to maintain a regular routine. Following a situational assessment by the Technion management, and in accordance with Home Front Command guidelines, here are several updates:
- As mentioned in our message yesterday, classes will continue online throughout the rest of the week, Tuesday through Thursday (inclusive). If it is possible to return to campus next week, we will announce it in advance. Priorities for returning to campus are:
(1) Teaching laboratories
(2) First-year undergraduate students
(3) Second-year and above.
- Work at the Technion campuses in Haifa and Tel Aviv will continue remotely through Thursday (inclusive). Campus access during these days will only be permitted for essential activities and with approval from unit heads.

Campus Announcement Sunday, 22.06.25, 19:00
Good evening,
Following a situational assessment held by the Technion management, and in accordance with the Home Front Command’s updated guidelines—which were changed to Defense Level 4 overnight—please see the following updates:
As previously announced, classes on Sunday and Monday this week will be conducted online. In addition, online learning will now continue from Tuesday to Thursday. If a return to campus is possible next week, we will notify you in advance. Priority for returning to campus will be as follows: (1) Teaching laboratories, (2) First-year undergraduate students, (3) Second-year and above.
New material will be taught as scheduled in the upcoming two weeks. No new material will be taught during the final week of the semester; this week will be dedicated to review, reinforcement, and completing any missing material.
Final exams will take place on campus and not via Zoom. If the situation does not allow on-campus exams, they will be postponed. In the event of a postponement, a new date will be announced at least one week in advance. With approval from the Faculty Deans and the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, instructors may set an alternative assessment and will notify students in time.
Work at the Technion campuses in Haifa and Tel Aviv will be conducted remotely. Until Thursday (inclusive), access to campus will be allowed only for essential activities and with approval from unit heads.
In light of the current situation, graduation ceremonies have been postponed. The MD degree ceremony has been rescheduled for July 29–30, 2025. The Master’s degree ceremony will be held on September 17, 2025, and the President’s Honors Ceremony will take place on September 15, 2025.

Good Evening,
A week has passed since the beginning of Operation Rising Lion, and we are facing a challenging reality that has changed all of our daily lives. We transitioned to digital teaching quickly and effectively, with the full cooperation of students, faculty, and administrative staff. We want to express our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to each of you for your patience and dedication, which enable us to continue maintaining the routine of learning, research, work, and Technion activities.
Here are a few updates:
- At the start of next week, we will continue with the same policy we followed this week. Classes on Sunday, 22.6, and Monday, 23.6, will be held remotely and online. All physical learning spaces will remain closed.
- Activity on the Technion campuses in Haifa and Tel Aviv will also continue remotely on Sunday, 22.6 and Monday, 23.6, as it has throughout this past week. We will provide updates about the rest of the week at the beginning of next week.
- As part of the Technion’s efforts to support students serving in the reserves, those in service will be granted an exemption from summer semester tuition fees for relevant courses. More details are available on the Graduate Studies School website.

Good evening,
Following a situational assessment conducted by the Technion management, and in accordance with Home Front Command guidelines, here are several updates:
- As previously announced, we continue with the policy set for this week. Therefore, no in-person classes will be held on campus at this time. Accordingly, tomorrow (Thursday) classes will continue remotely and online. All learning spaces will remain closed. This evening, updated instructions from the Home Front Command were received, setting the alert level to Level 3. We are reviewing the implications for next week and will update as soon as possible.
- Activity at the Technion campuses in Haifa and Tel Aviv will continue tomorrow in the same format as earlier this week. We will provide updates regarding next week’s activities soon.
- Due to the security situation, Technion-related travel abroad via Jordan or Egypt is not permitted.
- As part of the support efforts for students serving in the reserves, the Technion will grant an exemption from tuition fees for courses in the summer semester. More details are available on the Graduate Studies School website.

Good evening,
Following a situation assessment held by the Technion management and in accordance with Home Front Command guidelines, here are several updates:
- In accordance with security instructions and the current alert level, in-person classes on campus cannot currently take place. Therefore, work and studies will be conducted remotely and online until the end of the week. We will provide an update regarding next week’s operations as soon as possible.
- Classes will take place via Zoom. Labs and sports classes will not be held and will be rescheduled according to instructions from the course teams. All learning spaces on campus are closed.
- Activity on the Technion campuses in Haifa and Tel Aviv is limited solely to emergency teams and will be reduced to the bare minimum. Access to campus is permitted only in special cases and with the approval of the head of the relevant academic or administrative unit.
- As part of the Technion’s support for students serving in the reserves, the Technion will grant a tuition waiver for courses in the summer semester to those serving. Additional details are available on the Graduate School website.
- Due to the situation, the MD graduation ceremonies, which were scheduled to take place next Tuesday, 24/6, and Wednesday, 25/6, are postponed. An update regarding the new dates will be sent.

Following a situational assessment conducted by the Technion management, and in accordance with the guidelines of the Home Front Command, here are several updates:
Work and studies during the rest of the week (Tuesday through Thursday, inclusive) will be conducted remotely and online.
Classes will be held online via Zoom. Laboratories and sports classes will not take place and will be completed according to instructions from the course teams. All learning spaces on campus are closed.
Exams scheduled for Friday, June 20, will not be held. The course staff will update regarding a new date, an alternative arrangement, or the cancellation of the exam.
Activity on the Technion campuses in Haifa and Tel Aviv will be limited to emergency teams only and will be reduced to the bare minimum. Access to campus will only be allowed in special cases and with approval from the head of the relevant academic or administrative unit. Accordingly, there will be no employee shuttles.

Activity on the Technion campuses in Haifa and Tel Aviv will be limited strictly to emergency teams and reduced to essential work only. Access to campus will be allowed only in special cases and with the approval of the head of the relevant academic or administrative unit. Accordingly, there will be no employee shuttles.
Classes will be held online via Zoom. Laboratories and sports classes will not take place and will be rescheduled based on the course staff’s instructions. All on-campus learning spaces are closed.
The mathematics placement test scheduled for this Thursday has been postponed. A new date will be announced.
The doctoral degree recipients’ ceremony, originally scheduled for this Wednesday, June 18, has been postponed to September 3, 2025.

The last 24 hours have been complex and challenging for all of us. In accordance with the Home Front Command’s instructions prohibiting gatherings and following the announcement made yesterday, activities at the Technion tomorrow (Sunday, June 15) and the day after (Monday, June 16) will take place remotely only and in an online format. The work format for the rest of the week will be distributed tomorrow.
Activities at the Technion campuses in Haifa and Tel Aviv will be limited strictly to emergency teams and reduced to the bare essentials. Access to the campus will only be permitted in special cases with the approval of the head of the academic or administrative unit.
Accordingly, there will be no employee shuttles.
Lectures and studies will be held online via Zoom. Laboratories and sports classes will not take place and will be rescheduled according to the instructions of the course teams. All campus learning spaces will be closed.

Hello everyone,
In light of events over the past 24 hours and the expected continuation of Home Front Command guidelines prohibiting gatherings, activities at the Technion on Sunday (15.6) and Monday (16.6) will be held in an online format.
Classes on Sunday and Monday will be conducted via Zoom. Further details will be provided by course staff.
Laboratories and sports classes will not take place on these days and will be made up according to the instructions of the course staff.
Work on Sunday and Monday will be carried out remotely.
Activities on the Technion campuses in Haifa and Tel Aviv will be limited to emergency teams only. Access to the campuses requires approval from the heads of academic and administrative units. External contractor work will not take place on these days. The sports center and swimming pool will be closed until further notice.
