LiquiFab Innovation at the Venice Architecture Biennale
The LiquiFab team, led by Technion PhD student Erez Hochman, and including Professors Moran Bercovici (Faculty of Mechanical Engineering) and Aaron Sprecher (Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning), is participating in the prestigious Venice Architecture Biennale at the European Cultural Centre in Venice (May-November 2025).
Visitors to the exhibition space will experience firsthand how they’re transforming architectural manufacturing through zero-gravity physics. Their revolutionary approach shapes liquid polymers into perfectly smooth 3D structures by harnessing natural fluid dynamics—creating forms that are impossible with conventional techniques.
At the exhibition, LiquiFab elements and exclusive footage of experiments conducted both in simulated weightlessness environments and aboard the International Space Station are on display.
The European Cultural Centre exhibition offers the perfect global platform to demonstrate how surface tension can “sculpt” liquids into complex architectural forms that could potentially be created at any scale in space.
