{"id":84294,"date":"2017-11-27T20:40:11","date_gmt":"2017-11-27T18:40:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.technion.ac.il\/blog\/technion-israel-1st-in-digital-education\/"},"modified":"2017-11-27T20:40:11","modified_gmt":"2017-11-27T18:40:11","slug":"technion-israel-1st-in-digital-education","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.technion.ac.il\/en\/blog\/technion-israel-1st-in-digital-education\/","title":{"rendered":"Technion Israel 1st in Digital Education"},"content":{"rendered":"<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial black', sans-serif;\"><b>Technion 1st Worldwide in Digital Education<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-family: 'arial black', sans-serif;\"><b>Technion leads the world in providing students with digital skills, according to a Times Higher Education survey.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><strong>Technion is the world\u2019s leading academic institution in preparing students to take top positions in the digital revolution. \u00a0In a recent survey published in<a href=\"https:\/\/www.timeshighereducation.com\/features\/which-countries-and-universities-produce-most-employable-graduates#survey-answer\"> Times Higher Education<\/a>,<\/strong><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong> representatives of global leading companies were questioned on required skills to succeed in today\u2019s labor market. The survey compiled a list of top academic institutions for providing the best digital skills, ranking Technion first. The University College of London (UCL) ranked second; and the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) ranked third. The only US academic institute in the top ten was Massachusetts Institute of Technology, in sixth place.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThis is a badge of honor for Technion,\u201d says Technion President Prof. Peretz Lavie. \u201cIn recent years, Technion has placed considerable emphasis on training its students to meet the changing needs of the digital revolution. As a result, Technion\u2019s interdisciplinary research is expanding and advancing by leaps and bounds, in a process integrating life sciences and engineering. In addition, advanced learning technologies are being implemented, including the introduction of MOOCS courses \u2013 massive online open courses in various languages &#8211; \u00a0and the development of the flipped classroom approach. This approach emphasizes self-study by students using state-of-the-art technology, including augmented reality.
