We will not miss you, 2020, but you have challenged science – and science has taken up the gauntlet with new methods of diagnosis, treatment, and vaccination.
The Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, which is at the forefront of global innovation, has worked closely with the health system to find quick solutions to the challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic. In the past year, researchers from dozens of research labs mobilized vigorously to fight the spread of the Coronavirus. This spontaneous, deeply collaborative initiative has been multidisciplinary, covering all areas relevant to the disease. Every aspect of the challenge has been met, including the diagnostics, early detection and monitoring, enhanced treatments, and safety solutions.
And what will science bring us in 2021? No one knows, but there is no doubt that next year, too, we will continue to innovate, meet every challenge, and surprise today’s problems with tomorrow’s possibilities.
