Tutorial for EKG Interpretation

Introduction:

Welcome to the EKG tutorial site. The site It provides descriptions and EKGs (both static and dynamic cartoons) to present material on basic electrocardiography and the diagnosis of common cardiac arrhythmias and myocardial infarctions.

The site is designed to address wide range of audience. It provides detailed explanation combined with "easy to understand" schematics and animation.

Target audience is the general non-professional population.

The site is divided into several sections. For quick overview please browse through the site map. To get the most, we recommend you begin with the review of the Theoretical Basis and then move to the review about the conducting system of the heart. You can then continue to the other sections in order.

If you are already familiar with the conducting system of the heart and the EKG waveform, you may skip directly to the cardiac arrhythmias section and Myocardial Infarction. At the end there is self-assessment quizzes and clinical scenario (small-group style) problems.
