Teacher Assistant at the Hebrew Day School

In 1999-2000 I worked as a teacher's assistant for Hamoreh (the Teacher) Aharon. Aharon was a teacher of first graders at the Hebrew Day School of Ann Arbor. Hamoreh Aharon was a wonderful Hebrew teacher. The class had about 30 students in it and I was the assistant. I helped with children who were behind in class work, worked with small groups in the class, and assisted Aharon in various activities.

I enjoyed my work with Aharon and the kids very much. Working at the HDS helped keep me involved in the spirit of Jewish holidays as they can easily be forgotten abroad.
