University of Michigan

My childhood dream was to go and study at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Growing up hearing stories from my mom, uncle and aunt about studying there got the maize and blue blood flowing in me.

I always knew that when the time came for college I would go to Ann Arbor. During the 90's watching the Fab Five at crazy hours of the night in Israel a connection to the Wolverines was fostered. This encouraged me to follow my dreams and study at U of M.

Towards the end of my military service I started the application process. As I was planning my departure, I met Sarit (!)... Eventually we got married and moved to Ann Arbor where we both became Wolverines.

I transferred to U of M from WCC in 2001 where I majored in Psychology and eventually got into the LS&A Honors program. I enjoyed my classes and gained a lot from research experiences. Here is a list of classes that I enjoyed the most and influenced my career decisions:

Psych 211 Project Outreach Section 003 - Juvenile Delinquency and Criminal Justice

Psych 260 Introduction to Organizational Psychology

Psych 303 Research Methods in Psychology

Psych 306 Leading Project Outreach Section 001 - Working with Preschool Children

Psych 361 Advanced Lab in Organizational Psychology

Psych 380 Introduction to Social Psychology

Psych 464 Group Behavior in Organizations

I finished with a Bachelor of Arts degree with High Distinction in Psychology. My GPA was 3.846. I was inducted into the Psi Chi - The National Honor Society in Psychology, Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society, and Golden Key International Honor Society.

Despite the fact that U of M is a very large university (over 40,000 students), it did feel like a second home. I joined many different student organizations and clubs and took advantage of the research opportunities that were available. I enjoyed Football games at the Big House, the amazing diversity in the school, and the availability of (some) professors with whom one could really sit down and talk to about things that matter.

GO BLUE!!!
