QA&R Program

Quality and Reliability Research Center (QRRC)

Quality Sciences and Engineering is a field of expertise that grow rapidly in the last decade. International organizations and the European Union with the new global approach accelerate the developments and spread the applications.

At the Technion the Graduate Quality Assurance and Reliability Program emphasis is given to the scientific and engineering aspects.The Program conducts studies towards M.Sc. and D.Sc. It was established in 1985, and presently more than three hundred and fifty graduates are involved as Quality leaders in the technological and service infrastructure of Israel. Most of the students combine studies with work, hence the courses are concentrated on one day a week.

We have presently 175 graduate students for Master of Science and Doctor degrees. The graduates come from industrial manufacturing and service sectors.

For research interest of QA&R teaching staff was organized Centre for Quality & Reliability Research.

In addition to the Academic Program we conduct practical courses to industry on topics such as:

Total Quality Management(TQM);

ISO standards(ISO 9000,10000,14000);

Laboratory Accreditation(ISO Guide 25, GLP);

Audit procedures(GMP);

Nondestructive measurement methods;

Uncertainty estimation in measurements;

SPC and Taguchi methods

and laboratories courses for colleges and high school students: Measerement methodology; Metrology; NDT; SPC.

We offer measurement and testing services and development of tailored-made quality and process control systems to industry. The services are provided by the Quality and Reliability Research Center (QRRC).
