Prof. Amos Notea, staff member of Industrial and Management Eng., is chairman of Quality Assurance and Reliability Program at Technion. He received B.Sc. (1961) and M.Sc. (1965) in physics at the Technion and Ph.D. (1969) at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem. Since 1961 he is working in research and development of measurement systems, Total Quality and accreditation of Laboratories. Visiting scientist at Euratom, DTH Denmark, University of Hanover, KFA Julich, Penn. State University, Member of the ASNT since 1970 and ASQC since 1988.Member of Israel society of Quality.

Research interests:

Total Quality for industry and agribusiness:
Total Quality Management, Application of ISO 9000 Certification for Industry, Laboratory Accreditation and Audit procedures.

Measurement science and quality methodologies:
Nondestructive testing; Digital radiography and tomography. Accreditation system for testing and calibration laboratories. Noncontact and nondestructive quantitative methods for quality and process control, mainly radiographic/tomographic techniques.
