This image shows a flow visualization inside a turbulence generator which is used for improving agricultural spraying systems. Interaction of cross flow with flow inside a twin-fluid atomizer tube increases turbulence intensity, augments flow induced vibration of the inner tube, and adds an improvement control over the spray characteristics. Dye was added to one of the cross jets and the region of interaction (2.5 diameters upstream from the nozzle exit) is visualized.
