Ido Seginer, Emeritus Professor
B.Sc. 1957 (Technion); M.Sc. 1959 (Technion); Ph.D. 1961 (Cornell).

Joined the Department of Agricultural Engineering, Technion in 1964. Initial interests in erosion and irrigation engineering changed later to applied micro-meteorology. Main topics of research were: water distribution from sprinklers, flow around windbreaks and within crop canopies, energy and mass balance of greenhouses, modeling greenhouses and crops, optimal control of the greenhouse environment.

Current research projects
Transpirational cooling of greenhouse crops. Modelling the nitrate level in lettuce. Optimal environmental control for greenhouse crops. Solar drying of waste-water sludge. Modelling fish pond systems. Optimal greenhouse lighting.
