Naftali Galili, Professor
B.Sc. 1966 (Mechanical Eng.); M.Sc. 1969 (Mechanics); D.Sc. 1973, (Mechanics, Technion)

Dr. Galili joined the Technion in 1972 as a faculty member of the Department of Mechanics. His main interest in mechanics and biomedical engineering changed later to applied mechanics in agricultural engineering, when he joined the Faculty of Agricultural Engineering in 1975. Teaching topics included undergraduate and graduate courses in Statics, Strength of Materials, Dynamics, Vibrations, Rheology, Vehicle Dynamics, and Modeling and Analysis of Agricultural Machinery Systems.

Research interests
Modeling and analysis of agricultural machinery systems, including mechanical harvesting of fruits and vegetables, conveying, processing, solid-liquid separation and impact separation of agricultural products.
Multidegree of freedom mechanical systems, off-road vehicles, man-seat-vehicle interaction and ride quality evaluation, vibration isolation and non-linear dampers.
Signal analysis, non-destructive acoustic and ultrasonic testing of fruits and vegetables, firmness sorting of fruit and vegetables based on piezoelectric sensor.
