PRE-TREATMENT & POST-TREATMENT

TECHNOLOGIES IN DESALINATION

The aims of the meeting are to review current practices and to report innovations relating to feed pre-treatment, product post-treatment & concentrate disposal processes. The conference program also includes updating reports on the progress in the implementation of large scale desalination projects in Israel.

Conference framework

The conference is organized by the Israel Desalination Society under the auspices of the Grand Water Research Institute of the Technion and the Institute for Water Scienes and Technologies of the Ben-Gurion University.

In the conference opening lecture, Shimon Tal, the Israel Water Commissioner, will review Government planning relating to desalination and wastewater recovery. Professor Enrico Drioli, Director of the Membrane Technology Institute at the University of Calabria, will deliver a keynote lecture on innovative sustainable desalination systems.

The proceedings distributed at the conference will contain the full texts of the papers and the abstracts of the posters.
