École Polytechnique and the Technion, renowned for their high standards of quality in terms of academics and research, have both made the support for innovation and entrepreneurship a primary pillar of their strategy. Bothinstitutions have thus developed specific acceleration programs to favor the emergence and development of startups.

The aim of the recent agreement signed by l’X and the Technion in the presence of the French Minister of Economy, Industry and Digital Affairs, Emmanuel Macron, is to further promote the cooperation between these two accelerators.

According to this agreement, the startups accelerated in each institution will benefit from the network of the other – including personnel, business connections and potential partners, government authorities, potential investors and distributors. The participants in each program will also have a privileged access to the other accelerator where they will be able to spend up to six weeks to experience another approach, meet other key players from their field and work on further expanding their business on an international level.

The two partner institutions will also continue to share best practices, knowledge and experience with respect to supporting startup companies.

Technion President, Professor Peretz Lavie : “The agreement President Biot and I signed earlier today further strengthens the relationship between École Polytechnique and the Technion. After laying the foundations of our partnership in 2013, we will now use both our institutions’ resources and experience to positively impact the economies of both countries. “

Jacques Biot, President of École Polytechnique, added: “After the signature of our agreement of academic cooperation with the Technion in 2013, this new collaboration will allow our institutions to further support the emergence and development of startups – a key strategic priority for both the Technion and l’X.”
